Exodus Blue, a truly radical possible solution

Last edited Mon Nov 21, 2016, 01:16 PM - Edit history (1)

The Electoral College is not going away, the House size, and thus the EC's number of votes, will not be increased and rectify vast inequities in the states (that is my truly favourite fix, but Rethugs will block it).

Sooooo, I say MOVE physically move, by the MILLIONS

You have until the beginning of 2020 (the next census) to do this.

Get the fuck out of nazi bible bang homophobic racist sexist shitsville

Utterly abandon the perma red states, and move to a very select group of states, turn them Blue, permanently, and shore up the close ones (MI, WI, VA, that is why they are light blue)

If you live in the red states on this map, move to the Blue coloured ones, make them BLUE in reality (thats 173 EV's flipped from this election.

California is light pink because that is such a huge, perma blue state, that several million can move and help make the Blue coloured states blue in reality. Perhaps MA, MD, NY, IL, NJ could contribute some blue move outs too.

A group of people far richer and smarter than me can work out the math and help plan and execute the move.

Even if RW scum try to do this, they WILL be depopulating the shithole states they are leaving, thus costing those red states' EV's, and making it easier, perhaps for stay-behind Dems to take over.

Crazy??? HELL YES, but it's something to think about, some of those states would not take so much to put them in perma blue territory, and it would take a shitload of power away from the xian nazis.

America has always been about people moving into it. Well now is the time, perhaps, to play out those moves, en masse, from shit states to states that can truly become a permanent force for good.

I leave it to you all to flame me alive.

And what jobs are...

Oh forget it. If we would've convinced a FEW more people to vote Dem we wouldn't be in this mess.

Your suggestion is on par with burning down your house and moving cross country because you don't like the rug at the front door.

Whether a person votes or not, if you depopulate many red states, they lose a lot of EV's, and states that they move to go up in EV's, so they help the other, actual Dem voters who also move, become empowered.

Number 2, its not just a rug at the front door. This board is littered with so many people who HATE the people around them, are rightly terrified and miserable, and I know for fuck sure that I, as a out, bi-racial lesbian, atheist female, would have a HORRRRRID life living in some of these red shitholes, as would so so many other Democrats who do not even fall into all my subgroups.

Why not do a runner and live around a much better class of people? Jobs can be had, and the more people move in, it becomes synergistic. We here in most of the EU move all over the world all the time. I personally have. I am so disappointed in many of my (these are non DU) American friends that I talk to online, who make every excuse in the world to not move, even though they live in shitholes and they hate their lives. I have even had other friends offer them jobs, over the years, well over 20 people, and NONE would pull the trigger, yet ALL continue to whinge on and on and on about how much they hate where they live. What happened to the land of free, home of the brave? Perhaps I am being too judgemental and harsh.

Because blue voters moved there.

Same thing with New Hampshire. And Nevada.

Want to turn more states blue? Get blue voters to move there. It's happening in Georgia (which, btw was closer than Ohio)

maybe reread and look at my map Georgia and TX (the biggie) and AZ and FL especially, and shore up VA, OH, WI, MI, NC, PA

The light Blue states need less people to move to, the dark blue more

all the red need to be depopulated

not only would you flip them blue for good, BUT more EV's to them, and less EV's for the red ones
