We've been through something similar... We will get through it again.

Albeit, this time portends greater losses for us.

But we fought last time. We must fight again, and I know that we will.

I know people will be hurt. I am already making plans to protect what I have... I hope to be ok.. but it won't take but one bad turn for me to lose it all.

Even in the face of such uncertainty, we must be certain we will fight this.

There ARE MORE of us than there is them. That is a fact.

We are the ones facing a rigged system. It's how this country works and what it was founded upon. It doesn't give up the ghosts easily. Do you really think Donald J Trump will be the end of us???

Anything is possible I suppose, but when you have little control over something, you must exert control over what you do have. And that would be yourself and working with like minded people to limit the damage.

If we are as bound together as they are, we will easily win in 2018 and 2020. We just have to make it happen.

I agree the supreme court is fucked and will be for two more generations now..

What are we going to do, run and hide, be afraid of what might/could be? Or are we going to fight.

GWB offered challenges as well. He was fascist, with profiting multinational conglomerates in the security arena. Never mind his two SCOTUS appointments.

I'm not saying this isn't worse. I think it is.. All the more reason to get out of the doldrums and start fighting right now!

When we get it back....and I hope that is within my lifetime....I believe we will find that the quaint vestiges of the present government will be irrelevant.
Not sure what a new government will look like but I am confident that any damage done will be undone (even on the SCOTUS level).

But not a certainty - not yet. We'll just have to resist as best we can as long as we are able with the tools available to us.

in 2000 we were teetering on the brink of environmental collapse, but now, we're in the middle of it and this could be VERY bad for all sentient beings on this planet.

Nixon, Reagan, Bush - all reprehensible

This one - malevolent. Sick. Infantile. Destructive. Narcissistic on steroids. - and vindictive. And that is only a few of the appropriate adjectives.

I find myself really disliking anyone I know who was for Trump. I never felt that way during any other election. Luckily, my family and best friends are mostly liberal. Children are scared, my friends who are gay, Hispanic and Jewish are scared. The hate is over the wall out there.

The Republicons now control 33 state legislatures... 34 states are needed to call for a Constitution Convention and implement lasting changes to our Constitution as we know it... this IMO is the real prize for these fucksacks...
