Dimon Not Being Considered for Treasury

After multiple reports suggesting he was on the short list to be Treasury Secretary, a Trump transition source tells CNBC that an appointment of JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon is not going to happen.

In fact, Trump “doesn’t respect” Dimon, the source said, adding that the bank chief “was never under consideration” for the appointment and was not on “any Trump-approved list.”

He wants a loyal dupe who'll do his bidding. Sure, Dimon is a tool of the oligarchy, but his political contributions have mostly gone to Democrats. Also, he's very, very rich; maybe richer than Trump - and Trump would certainly not want anyone like that in his cabinet.
