as the loyal non questioning serfs they have become. I presume he called them together to thank them for their wonderful coverage of his yuuuge campaign and helping it to its successful conclusion. I would also imagine he is now telling them how they will cover his presidency for the coming years as they sat their quietly nodding their aquiescence. I think at the conclusion they probably all stood in unison and uttering cheers of thank you sire, backed meekly out of the room.
Cynical, not me!

As, I'm not the Rude Pundit and DU is a "family site", I doubted I would get away with it.
Now, a fact based media would realize that The Mandarin Hole-in-the-Butt only has barely won the Electoral Vote. Therefore, a thinking media producer would realize that people = ratings. So, pander to the most popular candidate. But, NOOOO! The Derp Posse goes all in with the unpopular loser.
UNBELIEVABLE!
I admit to no specific reason to kneel.
They run his comments day and night because he says stupid things and draws attention to himself and therefore views. Its a train wreck and people have to look.
It's pathetic and they have given up journalism for the sake of ratings. It is all truly wry sad.

(22,651 posts)He can appoint anyone he wants, but like when he tried to appoint his kids he was told can't do that. He makes a lot of 'mistakes', even campaign mistakes. Over 1,000 campaign donation mistakes he has to answer to within 30 days & on the Public Record. Never forget, the man is Unfit.
I do not think NYC will tolerate a 5th avenue city block closure for much longer either. But that's up to New York government.

He's already travelled without the press corps. What makes you think it will be any better in February?
The last two presidents have gotten progressively worse wth access to the press. Why would Trump be any different, unless the press hold him to account?
