broke a note while playing Taps on that cold Sunday morning.
I remember it like it was yesterday.

and it's funny to think back, how my memories have remained the same, yet my perception of the events themselves has completely changed.

in Mrs. Johnson's 7th grade English class as well. We were working on book reports and it was surprising how many were reading a biography of Jackie Kennedy.

I was in Wyoming. It happened during our lunchtime and we had to go to class afterward. Do not recall getting anything done after that.

They dismissed the class, and we were sent home

That is one of those events that most of us remember exactly where we were

All of a sudden the P.A. system had the radio going into all classrooms. Just utter despair and shock. Students, teachers all crying as announcement was made that President Kennedy was dead. School was let out and we all just walked around in dazed grief.

I think everyone who was old enough to understand on that day not only remembers, but still can actually feel how they did during that time.
