Airtime was the entire determining factor for crying out loud. Presenting any product to that degree allows for people to convince themselves to buy it, regardless of how bad the product is or if they really even need it. The obvious comparison is the Snugee a few years ago.

And lashing out at CNN??!? They had TWO obvious plants on all the time - Lord and Lewandowski.
