The United States is not the "Fatherland" or "Motherland" of anyone but the original Native Americans. All the rest of us have our family origins elsewhere. Our history is not long, compared to many nations. We are the Land of Immigrants. We are Everyman's Land. We grew almost entirely from immigration, and most Americans don't have to look back too many generations to find their immigrant ancestors.

We're not "Whitemanland," either. We're none of those things. We are "Amalgamland," instead.
