After their six-week vacation, members of congress returned to the Hill for four days last week, during which time they might or might not have accomplished something. It was so exhausting that they’re taking off this week, apparently to be with their families as they give thanks for a job that pays handsomely in exchange for not showing up in order to do nothing.

We’ve stuffed the wrong turkeys.
