Sadly the US economy has relied on illegal immigrants as a form of low wage semi slave labour for a very long time now. 48% may be the number in the farm sector but there are huge numbers in the service industry, manual labour and much more. Not only are these jobs that Americans by and large refuse to do because of their criminally low pay and backbreaking nature, there simply aren't enough free Americans to fill those positions if you deported all of the illegal immigrants. I suspect that Trump is going to have to walk back a lot of what he's said. Although possibly and equally likely scenario is that he really will try much of what he has said and America will just grind to a halt and spiral down the drain.
