excerpted:
"In recent weeks, I have heard a number of staff express anxiety and concern, uncertain of their inclusion and acceptance as full members of American society. I want to assure everyone that [we] will remain inclusive as an institution, as a reflection both of our inherent values and our recognition that diversity makes us stronger and is essential to our success."
I'm not sure if this makes me laugh or makes me cry.

(662 posts)On Nov. 9th, the company I work for in NC sent a similar letter pledging their commitment to equal treatment and rights for all employees no matter sex, gender, race.... They have also added gender neutral bathrooms in response to the "bathroom bill". This was quite astonishing to me since this company tends to be conservative.
