Question. First a predicate

Herr Drumpf got 46% of the vote. We don't need to peel off a lot to stall his agenda and whip his and his enablers asses in the 2018 mid terms and 2020 general election.

What percentage of his base of Deplorables do you think we can peel off not if but when he conducts personal business out of the Oval Office and fills his own coffers?

But what if a stream of businesspeople come out and say they made deals with Trump where he used his presidency as leverage.
Surely not every Deplorable who voted for him will countenance that.

Two questions:

What "does not matter now" ?

My question is based on moving forward:

What part of that don't you understand?

You might be able to get some of the fringe that voted against Hillary and might be able to vote for another candidate. The Clinton name cost her several points.

Tune in and listen to the Deplorable's conference call...it's held every day from noon to 6 on about 600AM radio stations. Most people call it Rush/Hannity time but I like to think of it as the "Message of the Day" for Trumpsters. And it's been that way for 8 years.

What's the message?

"...this economy is in such bad shape it's going to take at least 3 years, maybe more, to unravel all this shit. Trump's committed to it and he's going to start taking action on day one but it's going to take time to turn the ship of state. He's great but even he can't perform miracles."

By 2018, the base will be completely convinced that any problems of the past 2 years (2016-2018) are Obama overhang and the 25 dem senators up for re-election are to blame. Hell, if they say it enough, they may be able to ride this through 2018...as long as he doesn't abandon his white supremacist base.

Blatant that gets them in a lot of trouble. Especially after it's come up in just the past two weeks, and he's not even in office yet.

I think the bribes they'll take will be along the lines of "after you're out of office...." or "we'll give these grants and permits to this holding company that Trump Corp will just happen to acquire after 2 years."

And I think we'll get our asses kicked in 2018. Repubs have demonstrated the ability to get out and vote during mid term elections, and Democrats haven't.

Do you think Trump is anti-semitic? Son-in-law and daughter are most-trusted advisors.

I guess I'm also not sure of this "literally rather die" thing. Being not from North Korea or Saddam's Iraq, I've never had to face that situation.

"Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are little short guys that wear yarmulkes every day."

-Donald Trump

That was two tropes in one; Jews are preternaturally good with money and black people aren't very smart.

Germany was a mess in 1933. The Weimar Republic was in a lot worse shape than we are today. Folks forget Hitler's National Socialist party won a plurality in the 1993 federal German elections. It was their last free elections for quite a while. I suspect some of the Germans who voted for Hitler voted for him in spite of his genocidal tendencies but vote for him they did, much to their regret.
