Annex Minnesota to Canada?

Washington & Oregon, too, perhaps. Alaska, Idaho, Montana and North Dakoka might not be interested, but maybe Northeastern states like New York, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine might, also be interested in the idea. I'm not sure about Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio, either. We could have an election and abide by the decision of the voters in those states. Who knows?

We could add California, too, if the people there wanted to. Just move the borders and Bingo, it would be done. We could just put up walls in Idaho, North Dakota, Arizona and Nevada to identify the borders there. We'll get the bordering states to pay for the walls. Wisconsin has a river for a western border, mostly, but we could build a wall there, too if needed.

Just thinking out loud...

1. Single payer healthcare and a sane military budget. Just a couple of the pluses to such a thing.

Of course this will happen about the same time Texas is declared it's own country so one probably shouldn't get their hopes up too much...

I would love to see the racist remains of the USA if you did remove CA, NY, OR, WA, MN, RI, ME, NH, MA, VT. WI and IL would be perhaps included in there too.

It is of course, fantasy, but Canada would instantly be the superior country from most angles.

And when you are in the U.P., the dialect is difficult to nearly impossible to differentiate. And those of us who use to cross the border often and without hassle, are pretty fluent in speaking Canadian English.

I suspect, for some of us, it would be a very smooth transition.

I would love to have O' Canada as my national anthem as well. It isn't racist.

And, seriously, when you head to the Upper Peninsula, it feels far more like Canada than the US.

When I used to travel in the UK, inevitably, I'd chat with the locals and they would, eventually, ask me what part of Canada I came from. And I'm from the middle of the state!

10. Ditto. When I was in Australia, they would ask if I was Canadian.

I asked a few why they thought I was Canadian. Answers were you have the accent and you are polite. They were usually in disbelief I was American.

I just made some Turkey Tetrazzini with leftovers and still have enough to make soup, tomorrow. And the cats just got some real whipped cream, instead of the canned stuff. That may have been a mistake, on my part. They may never settle for aerosol spray 'whipped cream' treats, again.

Now the Democratic governor has a bullseye over him for the next state the rethugs take over.

but I was born and raised in New York City. I just moved away when I was 20. Now I'm priced out.

How can I go back when I can't afford to live there? I don't want to stuck in PA unless it secedes.

Pennsylvania has a Democratic governor with a gerrymandered repig legislature in which we can't take back unless we engage in some massive voter suppression against repukes.
