A Large Part Of The Population Does Not Care Who Is In Power.

As I watch people running around shopping and getting ready for a season of excess consumption with excessive trash I get the impression that many of them do not care who is in power. So we have a real lunatic in the White House and a bunch barbarians in Congress. No big deal really. Does not effect me is the attitude.

Approching. Probably a big mistake and being selfish, I know.

There's a difference between wanting to forget the election in order to enjoy the holidays, and not having been bothered to pay attention to the election in the first place.

I think a lot of us will use the upcoming holidays to focus on other things. And it's a god time to do so.

The mess we have to deal with will still be there in January.

i keep wondering how we're going to teach our children. what can we say about the election of a con man? what can we tell them about the things he said about mexicans, muslims, women, et. are they going to think it's okay for them to act the same way?

Far too many people can't see the connection between the gov't and their own lives. By the time they notice the world is going to hell, it'll be too late. Kind of like Climate Change. People are finally coming around. It might already be too late to check that.

12. I have gotten to the point where I feel my vote is useless.

I'll undoubtedly continue to waste my time doing it. Since Oregon mails ballots, there is not much excuse for not filling it out mailing it back or dropping it off.

The last time a candidate that I voted for in the primary won was 24 years ago.

I have a philosophical issue with voting for what I don't want. I feel by doing so, I own it. So most of my votes in the general election are me caving on my principles.
