(1,580 posts)he is childish and stupid. We have ended up with the Jethro Bodine of presidents and a repuke party that puts itself before the good of the country. Welcome to the shithole.

(4,915 posts)He is not autistic. He is a sociopath. My nephew has autism. I have many friends with children on the spectrum.
Call him what he is-a malignant narcissist.

(1,429 posts)the more people respond, the more his legions of goons buy into the us v them paradigm. It is classic trolling and he is winning. He also is further reinforcing a post factual world, where all object truth is spun away with further lies heaped upon lies. This muddies the water to the point were anything can be falsely defined, anything challenged, and the entire system managed and controlled.

(4,168 posts)Trump is not trolling. He has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. There is no strategy in his behavior beyond the very simple need for attention. At any given moment, he will say whatever will get him attention with no concern for the consequences. The consequences are irrelevant, truth is irrelevant. All that matters is that he is the center of attention (good or bad, doesn't matter).
For someone with NPD, the past (immediate or long term) is not important. The future (immediate or long term) is also not important. They live in the moment.
Trump is utterly predictable if you realize that he doesn't have some master plan. If someone else is getting attention (like Pence or Christie), then Trump will erupt to get the limelight back on himself. He is completely uninterested in "ingratiating himself" with anyone. A narcissist barely recognizes that other people exist. He simply wants their attention, right now.

(1,429 posts)The entire Operation von Trumpf is hyper- sophisticated neuro-linguistic audio-visual programming. Everything is anything, truth as an objective value is being subverted and drowned out in a seemingly randomn endless drone of cacophony thats is absolutely deliberately and far from random. Trump himself is just the bloated bass tuba in the orchestra, an orchestra playing constant dissonant tunes, all weaved together to boggle and enrage, first one side, then the next, till a psychological loop de loop is achieved and all are right back at the same focal base point, but now further down the road to perdition and divide. It is master class, it is insidious, and it is carving the tendons of rational thought and democratic underpinnings from not just the body politic but society itself.

(10,252 posts)He may be pleasing his base to haters and stupids, but he is definitely making sane people raise their eyebrows in alarm and disgust. Over and over he keeps proving that Hillary was right about an unfit temperament.

(43,177 posts)Trump supporters are very nervous about the recount, constantly
reminding that he is the president-elect, and that he had a victory
in the election
With nothing to lose I hope us recount enthusiasts go for it with all
we have. A true accounting of the results is in order

(86,646 posts)I suspect fraud and I am sure the five oligarchs who own all the media are in on it, as evidenced by their behavior in all this... if we do not take on this assault to our nation with all we have, we will thereafter have nothing left but to submit to the ruler.

(2,176 posts)Since the "election" I have written once a day pointing out the absurdity of the minority president elect and the GOP complicity in this mess. I don't even have to work to find the next embarrassing thing the idiot does, I suggest it, its cathartic. By the way he is GOP.

The picks for his cabinet put an end to that idea.
