The sobering reality: He's our problem now, for all of us.

Barring an absolute miracle at the electoral college or a major coronary event, he will be the president of our country.

He will be the president of my country, but he will not be "my president." I reserve that label for individuals of the Oval Office who represent our country to the world in a proper, dignified light, and understand the duty they have to serve the interests of all the people. Donald Trump will do neither of that, and hence he will never be "my president." Our current president is my president. I know that sounds like splitting hairs but it's a distinction I'll continue to make in these upcoming years.

But with that in mind, he is going to be our problem. Every one of us.

Before November 8th, he was just the problem for Republican Party, and boy did we relish in that fact. Then, he slipped one past the goalie (despite receiving 2.5 million less votes than his opponent) and things became different.

And yesterday, that sobering reality came home to roost. Because we saw what I could have predicted earlier: He's not going to change. Not now, not ever. It was the same Donald Trump dog and pony show we all laughed and cringed at during the campaign, except it was no longer just the Republican's problem.

He's actually calling out individual reporters, which is extremely disturbing. He's still dwelling in the campaign fight against Hillary Clinton, riling up his audience with "Lock Her Up" chants even though he claimed he's not interested in that line of attack anymore. He lied baldface about his "support" from the African American and Hispanic America communities, and claimed his win-by-technicality was a "landslide." He's mocking protesters and making his same wild promises about border walls. The tone of his "Thank You" tour rally was indistinguishable from the hateful tone of the dozens and dozens of rallies he held on the campaign. There was no grace, no moderation, no forward moving tone.

Nothing has changed.

Except that everything has now changed.

He's our problem now. As much as we'd like, we can't just laugh him off or turn him off. This absolute Madman is the representative we give to the world, and it will be the absolute worst person imaginable for that task.

The long journey to come to their collective senses for those who have not already seen the obvious truth about Trump has just begun. It's going to be a long, dark road.

He bullied and humiliated her directly at speeches while she was covering the events.

3. I've always imagined, that every new president gets paid a visit from the 'real powers that be'

many of whom aren't really all that well known, if at all to the general public, and set the new president straight on 'how things are going to be - or else', revealing a glimpse of unbelievable leverage they have

call them bildebergers, bohemian grovers, a 'college of corporations' or whatever

it's just an idea, i have no idea if it's any more than an idea. but if it is, things might be more normal than you think.

below is an illustration, from a 40 year old movie

5. I've begun to post political articles on fb after years of not stirring the pot

With my republican pals. My dem friends and I have discussions. Absolute silence from the republican side. Makes me think there's some reconsidering of the Trump vote going on.
Never a big fan of using fb this way but I do feel it's important to get credible information out where we can. It's there for them to read and assess should they want to lift a layer or two.

I eschewed directly posting political things on Facebook (although I did join in debates on some of my other friend's pages), but this was pretty much a game changer.

7. Are you also experiencing silence from normally argumentative republicans? Is it too much to believe
