Standing Room Only Crowd Greets San Diego Opening of Medicare for All Tour, Next Stop Santa Ana

By Donna Smith

San Diego – Take heart, America. After an historic day of action in the worldwide launch of the Robin Hood Tax campaign, the nurses of National Nurses United kicked off the California statewide bus tour for Medicare for all to a standing room only crowd in San Diego.

As the audience cheered the news that JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon cowered in through a back door at the Rayburn House Office Building in DC as the nurses met him in full Robin Hood attire and with the message of supporting the Robin Hood Tax, the San Diego crowd had no difficulty connecting the need for the tax with their desire for a universal healthcare plan for California. A Robin Hood Tax of just half a penny on the dollar of all sales of financial transactions on Wall Street could raise more than $350 billion annually and could be used for implementation of a truly universal healthcare plan.

The Medicare for all tour moves on to Santa Ana followed by San Bernardino next and a full schedule is available for the 19 stops along the way.

1. Why isn't the Robin Hood Tax campaign by National Nurses United reported everywhere?

However, I heard that Bill Gates supports this Robin Hood tax, so naturally, I'm concerned..
