Is there a chance that Senate Democrats will get help from any Senate Republicans?

I apologize if this has been talked to death. I have been "out of the loop" for some time. I was just wondering if anyone thinks that three or four Senate Republicans might be willing to help Democrats block some of the worst schemes of the Ryan type Republicans in the House and Senate. Any chance? Who might that be? Thanks.

The only thing saving the bills was the president's veto. So I would imagine most bills will sail through. It's going to be a tough 4 years.

I am just hoping that some Rep. Senators care about the future of some of their constituents that they will think twice. Voting for something you know will be vetoed is pure politics. If something absolutely crazy will actually become law maybe some few will stand up and show some courage. We shall see.

I think you made a point that it's easy to pass something with the threat of veto. I also know repugs have waited forever to have the perfect storm and will do everything to make America the way they've talked about for 3 decades.

Some R Senators might have enough conscience to actually work against some things like taking health care from millions and damaging Medicare and Social Security. Mr. Trump promised not to cut, etc. Well, I know the odds are against us but I hope people will scream like hell and show that they really care. That's about all we can do at this point.

smart enough to know what will get them "un-elected" real quick next time around (specifically repealing/cutting/disabling SSI and Medicare).

poisoned the well and that is all one needs to know. There are with out a doubt, many across the isle friendships on a personnel level. What has become very obvious is,the Tea Party wing of the GOP will attack and threaten those who might consider Democracy over tyranny . McConnell has to cover his back knowing full well he contributed to a flawed election.

This is the party that voted more than 60 times to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Why, with every branch of government in their hands, would they coordinate with Democrats?

Look instead for them to solidify and cement their majorities for the future.

and possibly Tester. The only question is can they pick off 2-3 Republicans ala Jim Jeffords at the beginning of the * misadmistration? My feeling is that is a slim to none chance.
