subscribe to any religion, I do admire this man for walking his talk about his religion and have utmost respect for him. One of the finest Americans ever IMHO.

(28,341 posts)5. I'm not religious, but I admire President Carter immensely for his
commitment to humanity and the earth. We give to the Carter Foundation at least yearly and have done so for more than a decade. President Carter is a very good man who provided the best example of what a former president should be, and more of us should strive to follow.
He's also provided the best of examples of what faith should aspire to - to give, to love, to uplift; and never to hate, marginalize or oppress.
