Former CIA, Pentagon spokesman: 'We will be less safe' under Trump
George Little, a former CIA and Department of Defense spokesman, said early Wednesday that he thinks the U.S. will be "less safe" under President-elect Donald Trump once he is sworn into office.
Little tweeted his thoughts shortly after Trump sided with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who said that Russia was not the source of stolen information from Democratic Party organizations. U.S. intelligence agencies have blamed the hacks on the Kremlin.
Julian Assange said 'a 14 year old could have hacked Podesta - why was DNC so careless? Also said Russians did not give him the info! Trump wrote on Twitter, referring to Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta, and the Democratic National Committee.
Little hit back, saying, "Let's stare this reality square in the face: PEOTUS is pro-Putin and believes Julian Assange over the @CIA. On Jan. 20 we will be less safe."
Little also tweeted Tuesday night after Trump criticized intelligence communities for pushing back an intelligence briefing, though some reports have said it was always scheduled for Friday.
No PEOTUS in our history has ever mocked his own intelligence community so openly or so often.
