The group plans to start handing out joints at 8 a.m. Jan. 20 on the west side of Dupont Circle in the nation's capital, where recreational marijuana is legal. Then, marchers will walk to the National Mall where the real protest will begin.
The great marijuana giveaway is legal, as long as it's done on D.C. land.
"We don't want any money exchanged whatsoever. This is really a gift for people who come to Washington, D.C.," he said.
There will 4,200 gifts, to be exact. Then, at 4 minutes and 20 seconds into Trump's speech (420 is the internationally known code for weed), protesters are encouraged to light up. That part, is most definitely illegal.

We should be encouraging people to stay away
It doesn't matter why people are there
It doesn't matter if everyone there is anti trump
He will look out and see an ocean of people and take credit for every one of you
It will feed his ego and that's all he needs

We should show up in force. There will be no mistaking protesters from Trump supporters. His crowd will be the ones yelling racist, bigoted, diatribes.

And, by the way, we will care every day what this fool has to say

(85,998 posts)...and it's still not a good reason to shun the protest.
I imagine other countries who regularly turn out millions when their govt. is found to be corrupt will be looking to see if Americans really dissent from this presidency. I think the size of the protest will be unprecedented and highly visible and discernible from the main event, for anyone who cares to notice.

(85,998 posts)...was at a smoke-in at the park in front of the White House in 2005-2006?
There was a guy in a clown suit throwing up pin joints that he had in a large paper bag to the crowd. There was a line of police horses between the park and the WH as if we were going to try and storm the place . . . We marched from there to the Lincoln Memorial to see Root Boy and it was just delicious! Boogie till you puke!!

I'm going to the inaugural protest.
I'll be there, as always, with my wife of 37 years. We live on the (far) outskirts of town, so it's not hard to get down there . . . no real effort involved except pulling myself out of the house after working all night. I've been a city protester since the old smoke-ins, and the ERA and No Nukes rallies when I was a teen.
Blessings to all of us who make it there in person and in spirit. I'm looking forward to an emotional day and having our marchers make an impact which will be heard around the nation and around the globe.

(23,350 posts)The speech could end abruptly if a gust of wind musses his beautiful hairdo.
On the other hand, his speech could last 4 hours and 20 minutes. We're gonna need a bigger bong.

(27,995 posts)It could go on and on like one of his self-aggrandizing rallies, or it could be very short like his 140 character tweets. NO ONE KNOWS what this clown will say or do at any time.
