John Wisniewski Aims to Bring Bernie Sanders Agenda to New Jersey Governors Office

John Wisniewski Aims to Bring Bernie Sanders’ Agenda to New Jersey Governor’s Office

I Agree to See

Democratic New Jersey Assemblyman John Wisniewski is running for New Jersey governor – which is one of the few gubernatorial elections held in the off year.

In his announcement video, Wisniewski covers a lot of topics – his personal biography, the effect Wall Street has in New Jersey, the need to fight for the middle class and his past support for Bernie Sanders. But most importantly for the citizens of New Jersey – Bridgegate.

Another major part of the Democratic candidate's announcement video is his support for Bernie Sanders – which he served as chairman of Sanders' New Jersey campaign.

The political ad touches on the need to criticize and fight a rigged economy, increase the minimum wage to $15/hour and fight for the middle class.

New Jersey heavily favored Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential Democratic primary – 63% to 37% – so his reliance on Sanders is an interesting political strategy for the pro-Clinton state.

And in garnering the support of the 'professional white collars' in three industries he needs - Pharma, Telecom, and Finance. A lot of the Democratic coalition work in these industries (myself included) and he gets what Sanders didn't get here . . .

We aren't evil based upon our job. That won't fly in NJ.

when he came asking for money. He was a wimp when we had a FLAWLESS Liberal/Progressive Democratic Candidate in 2013. They all were.

May Phil Murphy win and get up in Trumps grill every single day. The way people believed ONLY Bernie could save us around America? This outsider philanthropist Phil Murphy? He has that worship already. Trade Unions, Banking, Education/Teachers - The New Jersey Education Association, Telecom workers/CWA, Pharma Workers, people laid off in the recession he has helped to get jobs through his organization, The New Jersey State Council of Sheet Metal Workers, UWUA, Carpenters Union, and on and on and on.

Let's try Obama's Ambassador this November!

...in New Jersey for years.

But for the nickname and the fact that he's from a northern state, he's a classic Blue Dog Democrat.

As for the ad itself, it barely mentions Sanders or his "agenda", about 15 seconds tops, and only one issue - the minimum wage.

To project this as bringing "Bernie Sanders' Agenda to New Jersey" is a gross misrepresentation.

PS - it wasn't Wisniewski who uncovered that "time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee", it was the excellent investigative work of Shawn Broberg of the Record.
