(86,647 posts)the trumplodites wouldn't understand her accident. And it would be highly offensive to the Obamas and those of us who are not trumplodites.
ETA: I should have said she's not allowed to speak before an audience anymore.

(42,714 posts)The last five presidents have given speeches to a joint session of Congress within a month or so of their first inauguration. And while the press and others may have referred to them as State of the Union speeches, none of those presidents used that terminology to describe the speech they were giving.
Before that, neither Carter nor Reagan gave a State of the Union address or gave a speech to a joint session in the first month after taking office. The last President to give an address to Congress shortly after taking office and referring to it as a State of the Union address was JFK.
So maybe yes, maybe no.
