Sanders Blows Up Trump Tweet To Press Him On Medicaid, Social Security Cuts
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/sanders-brings-trump-tweet-to-senate-floor
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) came to the Senate floor Wednesday with a blown-up version of one of Donald Trumps tweets to argue that Trump should counter congressional Republicans' proposals to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.
I think it is interesting that we listen to what Donald Trump said during the campaign, Sanders said during a Senate debate on the repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
"This is what he asked millions of elderly people and working-class people to vote for him on. These are the principles that Donald Trump ran and won the presidency on, Sanders said, referencing an April 2015 tweet of Trumps printed on a sandwich board displayed behind him:

I was the first & only potential GOP candidate to state there will be no cuts to Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. Huckabee copied me.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised when the House backtracked on the ethics thing.

what he said at breakfast this morning let alone months ago, and does not care.
Show him a way to harm Obama voters and that is what he will do. He wants Obama to suffer because Obama made fun of him at a dinner once.

Pushing the bigger fact of Social Security being a target too. A great way to remind people of Trump's promise.

Had no clue that they were that susceptible to Trump's opinions.
so, there is hope, perhaps, he will go against them on other things.

I love that everything he says I. Print can actually be presented on The floor.
Note: I assumed that "blew up" was one of those crazy kids internet terms. Finally a literal statement rather than hyperbole. Lol
