Republicans thought they were voting for a 70 year old, second generation trust fund brat, and his 40 year old trophy wife to be the next POTUS and FLOTUS. But from what we've seen so far, they appear to have gotten a 35 year old, THIRD generation trust fund brat, and his 35 year old trophy wife (also a third generation trust fund brat) as the POTUS and FLOTUS.

We all assumed Bannon and Conway would end up being the "Trump Whisperers." The albatrosses that sit atop this orange, psychotic, charging rhinoceros, trying to modify it's course a few degrees to the left or right by pecking at its ears. But it's looking more and more like Jared and Ivanka will be the real power behind the throne. Trump only trusts FAMILY, and even then, only some of the time.

5. Still Think It's Pence

I still think it is Mike Pence who will actually be running the country. I think Jared and Ivanka Kushner are there to improve the business standings of their families. I also think Jared and Ivanka Kushner were used as buffers for Donald Trump's bad behavior and bad policies. Jared and Ivanka being Jewish allowed Team Trump to play both sides of the field. Trump and his sons could pal around with anti-Semites while at the same time pointing to Jared and Ivanka and saying they could not be anti-Semitic because Jared and Ivanka were both Jewish. Trump supporters could make the argument that it is kind of hard to be anti-Semitic when your daughter and son-in-law were both Jewish. Ivanka could also be used to protect Trump from charges that he was a sexual assaulter and that he hated women.

So, I think Jared and Ivanka Kushner are actually window dressing meant to make things look better and a smoke screen to prevent people from seeing what is really going on in the White House. Other than that, their main job is to increase the wealth of their families.
