including rabid racism that isn't directed at the White House this time.

And I also remember that while it lingered around for a while, the actual boots on the ground teabaggers couldn't be bothered to do the work, so a lot of it just slid away.

that's one reason we have the Congress we have.

But, they are waning. There are cycles to everything, and there's is winding down.

The Tea Party types have simply been so successful that they're now subsumed and incorporated into the Republican Party structure.

They are no longer distinguishable "outsiders." However, they and those like them are Republicans and will continue to win elections in many states and districts.
