Nor, frankly, are the illegitimate Republican Comrades now selling America out to Russian spies, trolls, hackers and blackmailers.

So I get a lot of news from the internet. A quick check of news sites this morning, including CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS...this story might be on their sites, but I didn't find it on the front page.

This is going nowhere. They're already saying it's time to "move on" from Russian hacking. No one is going to ever, ever bring this up in any media which reaches enough people who care.

Just looking briefly at the "evidence" one can find examples of instances where the report claims that a particular elector was illegitimate because their election and service violated a state dual officeholder law but when the law in question is compared to the facts, it just doesn't hold up. (For example, the election and service of a Georgia school board member is said to be a violation of a state law that bars members of the state house and senate from holding a second office.)

Nor does it appear that the proponents of this "bombshell" have considered how various states may interpret their dual office holder laws (which frequently are not strictly applied and it is inconceivable that they would apply to an elector whose service lasts for a moment in time, whose compensation, if any is proffered and accepted, is de minimis, and whose service is not incompatible with whatever other office or position of employment they may hold, which is the principal purpose underlying dual officerholder laws). It offers no historical reference point -- are the practices complained of here practices commonly engaged in by these and other states in the past without objection? It suggests that there are Clinton electors with the same issues but doesn't specifically identify them or quantify their number). And finally, it ignores the fact that to the extent these issues could have been raised at the state level previously (and there is no apparent reason why they couldn't have been so raised) and the state could've addressed them, federal law effectively deems the state's certification of these electors as conclusive.

But other than that, dream on. I hate the fact that Trump is going to be sworn in. But I've accepted that as a fact and am not going to rant and rave about issues that no one is going to take seriously because they are non-substantive in nature and occur on both sides of the aisle.

I will never, ever respect Trumpsky. But he is our president. I'm not wasting energy smoking dreams of stopping him from taking office.

Do you think its an organization? Its a concept.

And what charges would you bring against this non-existent organization?

And when, as is most likely, no one in Congress raises an objection to the electors identified in the "bombshell" report (a report that acknowledges that there are similar issues with some Clinton electors but apparently doesn't quantify the number), who should be "charged" for that and by whom?

I'm as upset and terrified at the fact that Trump is going to be sworn is as president of the United States in a couple of weeks. But I also recognize that it is a fact and that no amount of magical, wishful thinking is going to change that.
