I Hear All This Talk About Hacking....
but I haven't heard much about measures we should employ to stop or prevent this threat. Is anyone in Congress putting up any bills to spend the money to develop systems that will prevent hacking? Are we just going to leave ourselves vulnerable? We seem to be very vulnerable to hackers influencing our elections; potential hacking into our electrical grid; financial institutions, our personal information held in government computers, etc.
Yet I really don't hear much about how we can protect ourselves from this threat.
Shouldn't this be one of our highest priorities? Everyday computers take a more and more important role in our lives. What are we doing to protect ourselves?
Think about someone knocking out our electrical grid. We can't even run computers then. Complete breakdown of our communication systems. Our banking systems. Everything. How long could we exist without our information systems. We put complete reliance on computers and we are just leading with our chins here.
