White House Greeting Requests

Thank you for your interest in requesting a greeting from the President and Mrs. Obama. The White House Greetings Office can only send greetings for events prior to January 19, 2017. Please carefully review the guidelines below before submitting your request. Requests that do not comply with the guidelines or contain sufficient information cannot be fulfilled. Requests for events that will occur beyond January 19, 2017 should not be submitted.

U.S. CITIZENS: The White House will send greetings only to United States citizens for special occasions as outlined below.
WHEN TO EXPECT YOUR GREETING: The Greetings Office will make every attempt to process requests for events that occur before January 19, 2017 but cannot guarantee all requests will be fulfilled. Whenever possible, greetings will be mailed from the White House approximately 14 days prior to the event.
GUIDELINES: Greetings are only available for the events below:
Baby’s Birth
Baby greetings are available for babies within a year of their birth date. Please make your request after the baby is born.

Birthdays
Birthday greetings are available for civilians celebrating their 100th birthday.

Weddings
Weddings must occur before January 19, 2017 for a greeting to be sent from the President and Mrs. Obama.

Wedding Anniversaries
An anniversary card can be sent to couples who are celebrating their 50th, 60th, or 70th wedding anniversary.

Eagle Scout/Girl Scout Gold Awards
Ceremony must take place before January 19, 2017.
