They both practically trip over themselves to shit on the Democratic party and absolve Republicans for all the trouble they've caused.

they can be very good at something that requires a lot of intelligence and hard work they can still be clueless about basic things outside that field.

It's been decades, but that was the sort of stoned revelation I used to have back when

I'm feeling old: I just realized this is the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love...

And speaking in layman's terms. And in taking back the baton. And in bashing apart rightwing talking points. And in beating back propaganda. And in owning the news cycle.

There are dozens and dozens of experts in the field, if only the party would fucking hire some.

But yeah, I hold her in contempt for some other stuff.

instead of using a more approachable term. She wants to replace "per capita" with "per person".

I spent half my working life taking raw data and numbers and presenting them to people in ways that paint a picture -- and one of the very first rules for explaining the findings of your data collection or your study is to make sure that your audience understands your units of measurement and your means of normalization.

OK, people are upset with Jill Steim, but look at the number of responses that say, "This is so stupid!" But it's not stupid, not at all. It's certainly not deep, not a big insight, not profound. It might not even be true, since it's likely saying "per person" would not have a big effect. However, comma, we have so many people so eager to jump all over Jill Stein they feel inspired to call this rather inoccuous statement the stupidest thing they have heard in days. So let me paraphrase Stein's question. What difference would it make if we saved this kind of vitriol for Trump?
