....."the best part of the ceremony was when the President made a honest confession. “I love Meryl Streep,” he told the packed room. “Her husband knows I love her. Michelle knows I love her. There’s nothing they can do about it.”

The president went on to praise the Oscar winning actress by saying, “She inhabits her characters so fully and compassionately, saying it is the greatest gift of human beings that we have this power of empathy.”

He continued to tell everyone in the East Room that Meryl has a gift of helping others. “And off the screen as an advocate for women and girls, she uses that gift to help others write the stories of their choosing and to encourage greater empathy in the rest of us.”

President Obama then stated that Meryl is truly one of “America’s leading ladies.”

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded to individuals who have made “meritorious contributions” to U.S. security, world peace or cultural endeavors."

This is one of the oddest things about Trump's 'response tweets' when someone insults (aka tells the truth) him - he always throws in the something about how the person doesn't know him.

About the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan's 'rude' statements re: Trumps Muslim ban "he doesn't know me, never met me"

About Pope Francis (who questioned Trump's Christianity - re: Trump building walls instead of bridges) "he doesn't know me"

In Oct of last year Trump: “Obama talks about me like he knows me; he doesn't know me, & I don't know him.”

it just goes on - like somehow "knowing" Trump is going to make his awfulness any better

I want this to be the viral story in the days before his inauguration.

but Trump has mental issues, serious mental issues.

Deep down inside Trump, he is not happy, never laughs, more importantly, there is no joy in his life, there is no peace in his life. I certainly would not ever want to trade places with him for all the gold in Fort Knox.
There is something seriously wrong with a person who needs to be constantly praised and catered to. There is something seriously wrong with a person who makes himself so upset at even the slightest bit of criticism.

I don't think that Donald Trump will make it 4 years as president, both physically and mentally.
I am certainly not going to kow tow to him and root for him to be successful, if he is successful as president America is going to suffer. The more people who refuse to accept his presidency the worse it is going to be for him.

Distract from Trump and team's obvious ethical issues with tabloid-like sideshows. His biggest vulnerability is that he's so unethical he can almost be impeached on day 1, and his 30% approval won't shield him.

So just tweet that Meryl Streep is overrated, and you've got yourself a controversy that has legs in the entertainment media.

She's overrated, her awards are fake, she has a funny hairdo, she's a Martian, it doesn't matter. Republicans come out ahead so long as the water cooler talk is about celebrities beefing with Trump and not their internal problems. Anything that can grab front page headlines will do. Don't fall for it. This is a game to them.
