What could go wrong?

By MATT SHUHAM Published JANUARY 9, 2017, 9:59 AM EDT

President-elect Donald Trump’s son-in-law is expected to serve as a senior adviser to Trump in the White House, according to ex-Politico reporter Mike Allen.

Allen, writing in his new media company Axios' morning newsletter, reported that lawyers had “worked out a way” for Kushner, the influential husband of Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, to serve in the West Wing as “senior adviser.”

Such a position would not require Senate confirmation, though it is still unclear how Kushner and Ivanka Trump, both close advisers to the President-elect and vice chairs of his transition team, would serve in his administration without violating the spirit of anti-nepotism laws.

In December of last year, Trump ally Newt Gingrich suggested Trump simply exercise the presidential pardon to excuse members of his family who may break the law by working in government.

To answer your question NO they don't but they should be held accountable for their actions. Sickening.

It just never stops.

She has not changed her party affiliation. She is an Independent that donates to Democrats and has a very well connected friend....Chelsea.

I think he is showing some dementia and needs people who know about it close to him.
Kind of reminds me of Reagan.

Also - what the hell does Kushner know about government or global affairs?
This gets worse and worse every day.

...and I believe have their own agendas. Ivanka, while being the "nice, level-headed face" of the tRump circus, derives all of her money and power from the marketing and use of the tRump name. I believe she is the tRump spawn that is positioned to benefit most from a tRump presidency. And I see Svengali Kushner as absolutely salivating at becoming the power behind the throne. I think all of the shade and outright disrespect pummeling Chris Christie from the tRump campaign, is a direct result of Kushner's power behind the throne.

Kushner and his wife scare the shit out of me. They are smart and they have their own agendas. Uday and Qusay are too stupid to actually bother with.

Jared seems to have a lot of power behind the throne - I think actually more than ivanka.
I don't know who will possibly control these people. The republicans are in a feeding frenzy for power and don't care what the family wants to do.
This will certainly be an interesting four years.

Trump NEVER spent the night away from his own bed at Trump Tower, and would fly back to New York EVERY NIGHT after hitting the campaign trail. Further reported that Trump could not sleep, and required that someone always stayed awake with him to talk to him, to sooth him, to assure Il Douchelino that he was fabulous and he would win, etc. ad naseum. It is further reported that Trump's favorite "Trump whisperer" was Kushner, who would spend hours muttering soothing words into Trump's ear. With Kushner we have elements of both Svengali AND Rasputin rolled into one son-in-law package.

Wonder if anybody has done in depth research on him?
He is a scion of the kleptocracy.

No law, usual procedure or precedent will have any deterrent effect on him. If he wants Kushner or Ivanka in the Oval Office with him, this is what he will do. Legal, moral or logical reasons will not stop him. It is going to be a rough ride for those of us who are watching this debacle be inflicted on our country...indeed, the world. I don't know when I have felt so distraught and helpless since we know he won't be deterred from doing what he wants to do even if it is clearly unethical or illegal. He doesn't even make an effort to hide his nefarious behavior. It is all being done in plain sight.

Is there anything or anyone who can stop this maniac?? I still can't believe this is my country.
