why there is a disdain for facts and logic and critical thinking with these KGOPBers is that these guys need to DO it instead of THINK about it.
A few weeks ago, I was in a 'discussion' with a rightie at a bar...he was complaining about that filthy n-ward Obama the Muslim, and I was complaining about Donald Trump's preoccupation with Valdmir Putin's penis. One is much more substantiated than the other, and this is bar talk, so...
We got *into* it. As rednecks go, it got "real". Like 'he threatened to hit me and I told him to come and get it' real. 'Southern comfort itchin' for somp'm' real. This dude was just LOUD and was engaging *everyone* and regardless of what he was talking about, NO ONE wants to deal with such domineering...so he started bringing up guns after I told him to come and get it, and I told him he can best BELIEVE I value my second amendment rights. Shoot at me, and I shoot back. Believe that.
That's when he got up and left. People tried to pay my bar tab (I didn't have one, but it was nice of them).
So I go back there today, and there is my buddy. Only *this* time, he's talking about how last night's speech moved him, and how that 'piss drinkin' spy' brought RUSSIA into the USA "without permission". He kept repeating that "without permission" part. Trump brought Russia here with "no permission"
The owner of the bar, who asked me to become the bouncer after our tiff, whispered in my ear, "See? He needed you to SHOW him how to fight, so HE can fight, and now he is"
I have seen some 'flips' before, but I was astounded. Like...breathlessly astounded. He kept saying, "Obama's a good guy...I can't believe that FUCKIN' TRUMP, piss drinker"
I swear on the Holy Bible this man was calling President Obama an n-word last time I saw him. I even ordered a Black Russian!!!
Anyway, I bought him a beer. He asked me if it was because I was sorry I yelled at him. I told him it was because it takes a real man to stand corrected.
