by the entire cast would be a very non-subliminal message that would not push the boundaries of what the network would allow but be read loud and clear by almost everyone including Trump.

And maybe yellow slickers and umbrellas too for an added effect.

SNL doesn't have near the satirical edge it once had decades ago.

Example: playing Kellyanne Conway as a kind of oversubscribed flake. That's happening IRL, repeatedly. If one merely depicts that way in a sketch, nothing's revealed or gained, there's no bite or "collision of ideas" to elicit a laugh.
