Ex-MI6 spy 'who worked with murdered Alexander Litvinenko' flees his 1.5m home 'fearing for his lif

The former British spy alleged to have compiled a 'dirty' dossier smearing Donald Trump fled his £1.5million home in fear yesterday, telling neighbours: 'Look after my cat.'

Ex-MI6 man Christopher Steele is reported to be the source of a salacious file alleging the Kremlin had compromising evidence about Mr Trump's sex life, that it planned to use to blackmail him.

Mr Steele, 52, is an expert in intelligence analysis and counter-terrorism, and security sources say he once worked with murdered Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko.

...

The involvement of a former British intelligence officer and ambassador is embarrassing for the Government with Theresa May under pressure to reassure the President-elect that the UK had nothing to do with the 35-page briefing.

Instead, he went around his customer to release the report on his own.

He either did this at the bidding of some faction in the UK or he was played by some faction in Eastern Europe.

If you've read any of his books, you know it ends up with the truth not mattering. The authorities will decide if the spy came up with reliable information or disinformation planted by the other side depending on the political leanings of the entrenched interests. That means Donald Trump and the Republican Party will dismiss the reports as made up by the other side. In this case, the other side will be Democrats and spiteful Hillary supporters.

The Russians and their Republican stooges may not go as far as killing the MI6 agent, but they will try to smear him. After ruining his reputation they may stage a fake suicide, though. So, yeah, if I were him, I'd go into hiding, too.
