Trump Busted Using Empty Fake Folders As Conflict Of Interest Docs At Press Conference

Trump said, “So this is all — just so you understand, these papers — because I’m not sure that was explained properly. But these papers are all just a piece of the many, many companies that are being put into trust to be run by my two sons that I hope at the end of eight years, I’ll come back and say, oh, you did a good job. Otherwise, if they do a bad job, I’ll say, “You’re fired.”

The Trump transition team wouldn’t let reporters see inside the folders or examine the papers, and CNN found out why
It turns out that the papers were blank, and the folders were empty.

The whole plan to avoid conflicts of interest was another empty

Speaking of Trump’s plan not to set up a blind trust or divest himself of his interests, the head of the Office of Government Ethics hammered Trump’s plan for being meaningless. OGE Director Walter Shaub said, “The plan the president-elect has announced doesn’t meet the standards that the best of his nominees are meeting and that every president in the last four decades have met. Stepping back from running his business is meaningless from a conflict of interest perspective

"I have here in my hand a list of 205—a list of names that were made known to the Secretary of State as being members of the Communist Party and who nevertheless are still working and shaping policy in the State Department." --- Joseph McCarthy

Is he having his own "I have these phony papers" moment, before he even takes office?

Those folders are unlabeled and very likely are full of blank paper, but did anyone prove that? Just one website is carrying this story so the vast majority of people will have no clue about this. It should be a huge story that everyone knows about that Trump is such a bold liar to wheel out thousands of empty folders to the stage.

Instead, everyone going crazy over the golden showers was a distraction that draws attention away from the more substantial things he's getting away with.

The double standard the GOP uses against us is flat out insane. If Hillary Clinton had been trying anything that Trump has done so far, the GOP would be screaming bloody murder and calling for her impeachment. This is truly embarrassing. The GOP has to go.

Statement: "It turns out that the papers were blank, and the folders were empty." But no picture of blank pages.

I see on CNN site that they say were not allowed to look at pages. Did CNN get picture of blank pages?

What we have here is a blogger writing that "the papers were blank and the folders were empty" with no proof.

There's no proof at the link. Just "it turns out..."

Now, I wouldn't put it past him.

And, in fact, it occurred to me that they were blank pages.... but I haven't seen any proof if there is any.

A mountain of paper as a visual aid doesn't make anyone believe that he won't communicate with his sons about his businesses or that he isn't up to his eyeballs in conflicts of interest.

If the reporters were not allowed to see the folders, then how was someone able to determine that the folders were empty?

Either they were allowed access, or they were not.

for Trump to divest? After all just "look @ all these files."
