Not sure who would have standing or what could compel returns to be produced.
Maybe when the ethics and emoluments charges start rolling in? Maybe a watchdog lawsuit?
How sacred are tax returns? And are they discoverable? I'm guessing in civil divorce cases?
When obtaining a mortgage loan, we require applicants to sign an authorization for tax return transcripts. They are really easy to get once you have authorization.

OP
Not talking about compelling him based on the election/office but on some future case.

So if there is a criminal case against him and the taxes show evidence, I don't see why they wouldn't be public.
But I'm pretty sure it would need to be a criminal case and probably not a civil case. In civil cases, such as child support, the tax info, would probably remain confidential.
