(85,998 posts)...just came home from work to this tragedy.
Every cretin who votes in favor of this needs to be targeted in elections until they're finished. We also need to repeal whatever health care taxpayers are gifting these millionaires. They don't deserve even one more day in office.

(16,245 posts)Let them have every last thing they supposedly wanted. Then just laugh when they complain. You vote for evil, you get evil. You wanted change for change's sake, so here it is. Fuckers.

(85,998 posts)...the impact will be absolutely devastating.
Remember, a clear majority did not vote for this.

(85,998 posts)...those relying on the next election to sort this out don't fully realize the emergency, or aren't invested at all in the lives of people impacted.
Complacency and rationalizations offered by folks here and elsewhere are clear signals that nothing of value of theirs is at stake.

(1,430 posts)every 2 to 4 years let them suffer under the thumb of the republican.
i have heard these excuse from duers for not voting for the dem's nom.
"i need something to vote for not against "
"im not voting for someone just because there's a 'd' by their name."
"dem's havent inspired me to vote"
"voting for someone just because there's a 'd' by their name isnt working for me anymore"

(21,596 posts)I'm a single mom in a red state that did not expand Medicaid.
Apparently the CHIP program for children (called Peachcare in Georgia) is also being defunded. Peachcare predates the ACA.
I am terrified. If I lose my healthcare, I will have no security, no safety net. If I fall seriously ill, I could lose my home: my child's home. My child could become uninsured. My job does not provide health insurance.

(16,110 posts)huge profits from this and have the added bonus of knowing that people will die.
I have come to the conclusion that these soulless Republicans get a sick thrill over people dying due to their actions.
They take pleasure in knowing that they have caused suffering and death, makes them feel powerful or some such thing.

Parents who 'pray away' illness only to have their child die are charged with a criminal act!
Why not congress?
