(4,033 posts)except for the 66 million of us who voted for Hillary. Trump was totally correct when he said that he could shoot someone on Broadway at high noon and he wouldn't lose a single vote. Start fracking everywhere? Fine if it creates jobs. Drill for oil in Yosemite or Yellowstone? Fine if it creates jobs. And look at all the construction jobs building the wall will create. And all those jobs will get all those lazy bums on unemployment and welfare who sit around all day in the air conditioned homes watching their wide-screen, hi-def TV's on premium cable and eating steak and lobster and drinking French wines, bought with food stamps paid for with our tax dollars.
That's what the sweeping mass of rural, low-information voters believe. So if Trump can hire a bevy of prostitutes and have fun, so what? He earned it and some of it will trickle down to me.
And that, my friends, is the problem. And the GOP is happily going along.

(12,882 posts)Every time I drive into town I see guys AND gals pushing a shopping cart and stopping to climb into dumpsters and clawing thru trash cans for cans and bottles to redeem. You hafta ask yourself: Why don't these dummies just sit around all day in the air conditioned homes watching their wide-screen, hi-def TV's on premium cable and eating steak and lobster and drinking French wines, bought with food stamps paid for with our tax dollars. I mean - how the heck can they ignore a life of ease that's just a request away?
Just this Monday, they uprooted a homeless encampment along a shallow river about a mile from here - on land that the owner willingly looked the other way on. The "justification" was that nearby residents were edgy about those "unkempt" trash pillagers would go on a crime rampage. Right. There's nothing more enterprising than pushing stolen goods around in a shopping cart, trying to sell them to passers-by or maybe door-to-door.
The truth is that in this blood red part of a reliably blue state cannot STAND to admit they've got homeless folks trying to simply stay dry and keep their stomachs from grinding. Certainly their fortunes are gonna turn around with Cornucopia Trump takes the helm!

Maybe if all homeless people camp out in front of Trump golf clubs he might do something. Of course, he won't know about it since he won't talk business with his sons !

(42,770 posts)Really like to see them nail people communicating with Russia during election. Although Trump would probably just say he had no idea. Hmm...if it all comes out..guess it will just be for our pure enjoyment.
