When the entire big picture is absurd, sometimes you lose sight of the little microabsurdities

What is utterly absurd and depressing is the fact that our next president is slated to be Donald Trump, a thrice-married failed businessman and reality TV show host, with raging Narcissistic Personality Disorder, an addition to Twitter, and what appears to be a deep seated psychological obsession about gold. Oh, and he appears to have been compromised by the Russian government.

But sometimes that fact overwhelms some of the minutia that comes along tangentially with the greater crazy picture.

For example, watching the press conference yesterday, my mind pretty much glossed over the fact that the Madman had decided to bring along his own personal cheering section.

His own personal cheering section.

At a press conference.

Who the hell does that?

I don't watch many press conferences (or any tee vee) but tried to watch that on you tube. It was so surreal, hell the whole thing is still so surreal to me! This has got to be some kind of joke. I am going to wake up with an epic hangover right?

was really strange.

I have never seen anything like it. Can you imagine Obama doing something similar?!

He simply cannot function without someone holding his hand.

Every action, great and small, blasts or chips away at the cherished tradition of professionalism and public service that have bolstered our democracy.

We also need to ask Gingrich if thinks Trump is too 'urban' to be president, since he lives in Manhattan. Or if Trump is too 'anti-colonial'
