Trump/Chao DOT plans give us a WINNING ISSUE. Many GOP voters are against privatized toll lanes
and bridges.
Gov Pat McCrory in NC lost BECAUSE of a contract he signed for P3 toll lanes on I-77 north of Charlotte. Many Republicans voted against McCrory there in 3 of their reddest districts.
No one wants to be paying $20-30 dollar tolls to get to work on time.
When you crunch the numbers in NC election, McCrory lost because of toll lane issue, not HB2 as many in media have been claiming. To be clear, it should have been because of HB2, but, GOP voters in Meck County are the ones who actually made the difference, and it was because of one single issue - toll lanes.
