I think there really is a tape out there, and I think it will become public sometime within the next month or two. I think the release of the information now is just a warning to POS trump not to get too comfortable because he won't be staying long.
If trump has screwed over so many contractors and people who did an honest days work for him I have to believe that he has also screwed over some people who are pretty high up. People who have a lot more to lose, and a lot more power than you or me. These people will not be played.
The actual release of the tape now wouldn't do any good since trump hasn't been inaugurated yet, but I would almost be willing to bet that on January 21 or soon after, all hell is going to break loose!
Again, I might just be talking out of my ass, but I think this is FAAAAAAAAAR from over.

(13,466 posts)With the train-wreck he's bringing, I wouldn't be surprised if various intelligence services of our allies weren't looking under every rock for something to get this guy's hands off the US nuclear arsenal.

(14,317 posts)Not because they don't exist I think they do but because Putin won't let them out of his sight. They are only useful to him as leverage as long as he can threaten to release them, without actually doing so. Only FSB agents would have access, and they are not turning on Vladimir.

(32,712 posts)Poweful repubs might release something as soon as the White House is safely in republican hands on the 20th. That way, Pence would take Trump's place.
If Putin has anything, it will be held until the US does something he doesn't like (or maybe just for fun when things get chaotic).

After years of assmunch spreading his birther bullshit about a man he'll never come remotely close to measuring up to in any way whatsoever, he's finally getting a taste of his own medicine in terms of conspiracy theories.
Frankly, given that the story entirely fits his scummy character, I'm more inclined to believe it to be accurate than not.
