it's been forever since I've been to one, but all have been phenomenal. Have made long time friendships that inspire me at each one I have attended.
Let's meet for a beer and nosh after the march. Squinch and hopefully Priyanka should be there.
March ends at Trump Tower likely late afternoon. A bit of an expensive location, to be sure, so may need to choose some place a bit more on the fringe, where we can hopefully have a table. Nancy Whiskey down by the Holland Tunnel worked well years ago.
Sat has purse size restriction- 8x6x4" or else has to be clear no backpacks large bags unless clear
March starts 11Am at Dag Hammerskold Plaza
**it was moved from Union Square location***
East 47 2nd/1st Ave
Hope to update w Route Info
Will add website info for NYC.
If you look at the part w "more info" it's explained location was changed after 11/28.

(47,209 posts)From what I had heard it was starting around the UN and somehow ending up at Trump Tower. Will keep everything to this thread and also PM info to whoever requests it. It's awesome meeting the faces and lives behind the names here- sort of like a reverse masquerade party.

March times will be staggered starting at 11:00 am. See FAQ for more info.
Where
1 Dag Hammarskoljd Plaza
48th St. at 1 st Ave.
New York, NY, 10017
The march ends near Trump Tower where we will all have a chance to raise our voices and let the new administration know we are here to protect and guard our civil liberties. Under no circumstances will any sort of violence be tolerated. Channel Ghandi. Channel Martin Luther King. We are in this for the long haul. It's important to keep this non-violent.

(21,849 posts)Hi Lindysalsagal.
I live in Kingsbridge/Riverdale and get on the 238th Street station on the 1. Let me know if I can meet you and ride down to 50th together. We can PM each other with contact info if you are interested.
Are you driving down from Westchester? or are you in the Riverdale area?

(47,209 posts)I decided I needed this and likely many of us here do too.
A lot of us have given up friends over this Trump crap and need some goddamn solidarity.

(20,693 posts)I'm going out for a pink foamboard tomorrow.
Trying to decide the wording.....I'm thinking "Women's issues are America's issues."
Eternal, positive, not open to misunderstanding or excuses.
