11. I am no longer young and have seen

many presidential election cycles (Truman was President when I was born). This campaign and election are absolutely unprecedented and historical (in a HORRIBLE way) of all that I have seen and participated in. The Transition is equally unprecedented and disturbing, as I suspect the Inauguration will be, and God help us, the actual Presidency. We are in dangerous and uncharted waters and I fear the worst.

I had some anxiety that actually didn't even feel all that justified as we crept towards the inauguration because he was quite and in retrospect with current comparison dignified as a president elect. That was troubling because given what had happened with SCOTUS it felt like I should feel much worse. But this is way different. As one friend put it, "if you're not absolutely terrified, you aren't paying attention."
