(16,110 posts)Losing one was horrible enough. Losing six? I can't even imagine how either parent can function, except to hold tight to the ones they still have.
I do hope mom pulls through, those kids are going to need her and their dad and he's going to need her to get through this.
I am so sad for all of them.

(23,926 posts)What an unimaginable tragedy. Currently one of the children who escaped appears to be doing well, but the mom and two other children are in critical condition.
Prayers.

(7,702 posts)I also heard that the husband was working as a cook when it happened. Years ago I worked as a cook at a place within walking distance.
So super sad.

(24,007 posts)Events like this are why I totally dispute the "everything happens for a reason" idea. What possible reason could there be for something like this?

(3,839 posts)On a very cynical side note, I wonder how long it will take before the other side, the deplorables, start celebrating this.

(9,808 posts)No cause, yet, but it appears to have started on the front porch. House built in 1910, so hot and fast. There is a Gofundme, if anyone wants to contribute.
That poor family.

(31,395 posts)What a horrible tragedy. I know--from personal experience--how fast and how hot a house fire can become. We lost our house to a fire that started
outside on a deck in 2007. Fortunately, I was awake at 4:30 am when it first got started. By the time the fire department got there--less than 5 minutes--
the house was so hot they had to back out and go defensive on it. It was an inferno in a matter of minutes.
My heart goes out to the parents and surviving children. Their lives will never be the same.
