And now lets hope this announced FBI investigation goes forward.

FBI’s James Comey still has some explaining to do

By Steve Benen

The political world was jolted last night with new, unverified allegations about Donald Trump and Russia, which both the president-elect and President Obama have been made aware of. We don’t yet know which, if any, of the allegations are true.

.......
The FBI director, just days before Election Day and with early voting already underway across much of the country, found it necessary to share with Americans damaging information about the Democratic candidate, but not the Republican candidate.

As it turns out, of course, the damaging information about Clinton was benign: the emails on Weiner’s laptop were meaningless, and the political world’s hair-on-fire freak-out – which very likely cost Clinton the election – was spectacularly misplaced. The damaging information related to Trump may yet have merit.

But the point remains the same: Comey went public with provocative information about one candidate, not both.

That’s a decision that warrants a thorough explanation.

and protection because the sleazy bastard knows exactly what he did. Whether or not he will get it is anyone's guess.

For now, he'll dummy up and lawyer up. We'll have to get his slimy ass into a courtroom to get him to plead the fifth amendment. We won't get an explanation until he dies and his posthumous memoirs are published. If then.

refused to vote for Hillary by either not voting, voting third party, or voting write-in could have made a difference.

What made it even worse was every Democrat running for Senate in a swing state lost to the establishment incumbent republican

We (collectively speaking of voters) had a chance to save ourselves from this, and due to brainwashing, hurt feelings, propaganda or whatever, we didn't.

Our losses, even with our deeply Progressive candidates (I'm looking at you WI stay at home pouty babies. 20 year low turnout!), should be a wake up call across the board. We were played for fools.

Every one of them owns Donald Trump and the entire atrocious republican destruction of our people, our nation, and our planet.

the life of me understand how some Sanders supporters would refuse to vote for the DEMOCRAT candidate in such an important election. I boggles my mind! And I agree wholeheartedly that these folks own the mess we are now in.

His actions were clearly partisan. He fell on the sword for the party, fully aware he'd eventually be investigated and found in violation of the Hatch Act. But so what, if he's the factor that sways the election in favor of tRump, who was going to, BY ALL ACCOUNTS, lose the election in a landslide. That's a huge win for republicans, a coup d'etat. The first ever in our history.

October 28th, Comey releases letters to KGOP members who take them public. Information, by the way, that Giuliani knew about a month in advance. More illegal goings on there too. MOTHER - FCUKERS!!

OMG! Hillary isn't going to be president. OMG!!! Which means that incompetent self centered tRump is in line now.

Where are these to criminals today? Roaming free, above the law. Hope the DOJ makes the connection and incarcerates them both.

He's already reneged on that gibberish and the idiots I know have moved on too. Was fun while it lasted, just to get the hate (they have for Democrats) out of their systems for another day.

FBI will find nothing, because there is nothing. Kind of a double standard though too. Colin Powell never got investigated for doing the same thing from the same position in government, IIRC. Neither did Bush and he was blatantly guilty of violating the Presidential Records Act when his administration, by order of him or someone, deleted 22 million E-mail on government servers, not even a private server. For Fcuk's Sake!!! They should be in jail, those two motherf***ers! Cheney too!

I am pretty sure this, the Russian videos, the Russian hacking, etc, etc, etc, etc...isn't going to stop anything.
Whenever something new and alarming about Trump and the GOP appears—and I believe it is all TRUE—it slowly sinks into oblivion.
ACA is all but gone now, and we are fucked. The Trump/Ryan/McConnell lies continue, and the public continues to believe them.
