When You Are Dealing With A Party Of Sociopaths You Cannot Be Nice About It.

Most Americans do not understand the depth of the evil they are dealing with. Ryan may look clean cut and a family man but he is a monster with no empathy. He is Trump junior only much more sly.

We really have to call these guys out in their town hall. They are lying because they have not viable plan that is any better. They will pass a bill that is no better than a placebo.

It's kinda like breathing for them. Journalists thinking they will get access or the truth by playing nice are living in a dream world. The rules of the game have changed and the sooner they accept that ugly fact the better.

It already looks like we are taking the "adult in the room" approach again. Unfortunately, that is not what gets noticed and rewarded by voters. Also have to forcefully fight a party as wacky as the Repukes have become.

Undercut these sociopathic, gaslighting hypocrites at every chance! Gaslight them back with facts. Use their fucking playbook against them.

The second I heard "when they go low, we go high," I knew we were in trouble. You can't bring a knife to a political gun fight.

Adlai Steveson was right: "the moment Republicans stop lying about us, we'll stop telling the truth about them!"

Without a big stick and the willingness to use it when needed, those with no moral ground will take advantage and take whatever they can.

What we need are the old style union folks.
Fuck it. We ARE at war with the mega-rich.

Like my friend who hated Trump throughout the Republican primary but now loves him because he is expecting to get sweet, sweet tax cuts. He went from "oh my God, Trump is a nut, a racist, in the pocket of Russia, and his followers are fascists" to "Trump is a man of integrity who tells it like it is and isn't Ivanka lovely and stately?"

He straight up told me that the tax cuts sold him on Trump despite all of his many negatives. But yeah, I agree, we have to be aggressive about calling out the Republicans. They get away with a lot because of the false-equivalence game. I am often critical of the Democratic Party but the two parties are NOT the same. Whatever negatives the Democrats have, the Republicans are a lot worse.

And if we let them destroy all that the New Deal--and later programs like Medicaid and Medicare--have wrought, we and our loved ones will rue the day. There will be suffering and death the likes of which this country hasn't seen in a century or more.

Trump's cabinet fully intends to roll back social programs to circa 1890; i.e., there won't be any. Nada. Zero. Zilch.

I have often warned on this board that revolution is coming.

Now that revolution--or more properly, reactionary counter-revolution--has occurred: a James Comey/Putin/mass-media enabled fait accompli from the right. The fascists have taken power.

God help us all.
...................

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
