Impossible To Replace ACA And The GOP Knows It.

The ACA had a long period to be put in place. It did not just go on line immediately. The racist GOP is intent on abolishing it abruptly. Millions of Americans will not have health care for a long time.

the 20-3- million people losing their insurance is really low. If you really think about it I would be 50-60 million people will be out of luck. By the time they are busy fucking with Medicare and Medicaid the entire system could collapse. And how many of those people will die prematurely?

WE HAVE TO START SCREAMING AT THESE BASTARDS AND SCARE SOME SENSE INTO THEM.

Point out that the (R)s are simply incapable of governing and use replacing the ACA as a way to prove this one way or the other.

Health care reform has been in the works since long before "HillaryCare". They have had over 25 years to come up with a plan and there is no possibility that they will come up with one in the next couple of years.

We should be pushing this. "Prove you can govern by creating a workable Health Care System!". Then run on them being unable to govern in 2018 and 2020.

P.S. We should also be pointing out that the states that did not expand Medicaid are skewing the numbers for increased costs. Those states have the worst of both worlds (as far as costs go). There are still people using emergency rooms as their primary source of care while also providing people who have insurance with no co-pay preventive care along with all the other benefits of the ACA. The (R)s broke it, but somehow they have avoided buying it. We need to point that out.

campaign. How many times did the Repugs try to repeal Obamacare? Over 60?

They would lose a lot of face with their constituents - if now - when they have control of everything - they don't do something to Obamacare.

I think that they would be content to say that they repealed Obamacare - just to remove the name Obama from it. I think they feel that this would satisfy their voting bloc or at least they can sell it on that basis. Their voting bloc hated Obama - and removing his name would satisfy them. It's ironic that the Repugs coined the term "Obamacare" - and that backfired on them.

That's why I think they are talking about repealing - remove Obama's name - but replacing it somewhere in the future. They really don't have a plan to replace and they know that if they screw it up - they own it and the American People will make them pay in future elections. Their talking about replacing somewhere in the future - won't happen - they figure that people will forget about the replace part.

exactly what I think you're alluding to and that is it's RACISM. Many don't even know that ACA is Obamacare or as the 'CONs want to portray it, ObamaScare

5. Not only that, but all of health care is going to take a big hit

Hospitals will close, insurance companies will pull out of suddenly unprofitable states, doctors will decide it's time to retire, and all these things will have a huge ripple effect throughout the economy.

They want to repeal it to give a few rich men a tax break. This alone can crash the whole economy, health care is a huge industry.

Medical stocks are already taking a beating.

It's no secret that they have nothing to replace it with.

8. Repealing the ACA WILL affect Medicare Beneficiaries

All those no deductible/no co-pay Preventive Services under Medicare are a part of the ACA. All those Mammograms and Colonoscrophies will now be subject to deductibles and co-pays, in addition to Wellness visits, etc.

This is even before they actually take the knife to Medicare.

It was, after all, a GOP plan to begin with. People in Massachusetts have loved Romneycare for a decade.

10. They have no intention of replacing it. Brookings article...

https://www.brookings.edu/blog/up-front/2016/12/19/paying-for-an-aca-replacement-becomes-near-impossible-if-the-laws-tax-increases-are-repealed/

The GOP has ONE intention in re: healthcare: TAKE. IT. AWAY. FROM. EVERYONE.

The ACA (middle class), Medicare (elderly), Medicaid (poor), CHIP (poor kids), Planned Parenthood (women) - EVERYONE.

Their owners are GREEDY millionaires and billionaires. THEY are GREEDY millionaires and billionaires. And the CORPRATS who control them are GREEDY, money-grubbing psychopaths. NONE of them will ever need healthcare that they can't pay for themselves. THEY can afford it. Mostly because WE pay for it for them. Meanwhile, they take OURS away.

That is what they're about. That is their intent. And that is all.

AND NEXT...they're coming after our retirement money: social security.

In many cases it could be four or five or more when your kids can stay on until age 26. Hell, they don't freakin care and of course they have NOTHING to replace it with other than to tell you to start your own Health Savings account.

If I could AFFORD a savings account instead of INSURANCE why would I need home owners insurance or even car insurance?!? My gawd..............

Call me a conspiracy theorists but I truly believe that. There are some evil, evil hidden forces about. There are way too many people in the world who don't deserve to live for their tastes. I doubt even many of the GOP power players have the full picture they think it's just about the money. At least I'd like to think they don't. Starvation, famine, drought, war, disease all are tools to get the earths population down to a more "manageable" size with just enough population to serve their needs. Of course with automation and AI, our labor won't really be needed either. The world will return to a paradise once they can eradicate a good slice of its population. Okay very dire picture, but I do think that vision is held among some of the uber, uber .001%
