Glenn Greenwald warned on Fox News tonight about Democrats cheering on the open warfare on President-elect Donald Trump from the intelligence community.
In a piece for The Intercept earlier this week, Greenwald warned that there are Democrats and members of the media who seem to be craving the rule of Deep State overlords:
Greenwald told Tucker Carlson that there are Democrats hoping that an unelected faction in Washington will undermine and subvert and destroy the legitimacy of Donald Trumps presidency before he even takes office.

(146,317 posts)So many were taken in by that libertarian voice. I'm not sure why that happened. He was an obvious phony from the start. Many people, though, were deceived by Greenwald.
I hope we've learned something by it.

(32,886 posts)I love how he leads with the fake "Deep State" bogeyman.
There is no "Deep State". The President is responsible for the executive branch and Department of Defense and the Intelligence apparatus and can fire anyone and reorganize groups therein at will.
It is a foolish and dangerous concept to absolve the President from responsibility for any actions taken by any part of the executive branch.
