Can we just skip impeachment and go for an indictment for treason?

Those comments from the Dem congresspeople after the FBI briefing are frightening. It sounds like it's even worse than they thought, and if they're anything like us, they thought it was bad to begin with.

I think it's time to release everything that the FBI has. Protect the sources. Witness protection. Relocation. Whatever. Just release what's out there. At a certain point, there are things far greater than individuals. America and American democracy are at risk. Our futures. The futures of our children and so on.

Not unless they can indict and convict him before he is sworn in, once he is sworn in, only Congress can impeach and convict Trump of treason.

I don't think Obama wants to throw us into a constitutional crisis. And do you think the MSM will cover this without attacking president Obama? They pushed him and normalized him to get him elected. Our media will not report the truth because they are scared now.

Stir it up and do it. Try. Even if you fail, try, DOJ, every branch, do all possible. At least make noise and bring attention to the problems.

I wish Obama would appt Sup Crt recess appt, though to avoid that, the Republicans probably will not officially recess for MLK.

Why should we care how it looks? That is always our weakness. Dems have right position on issues, but we are tactically weak. Maybe, getting better now. Repubs are repealing ACA in middle of night or gutting ethics committee? Their attitude : win some, lose some, but at least they win some, and bigly. If most of their base is ok, they don't care about rest.

This is not a popularity contest. Now, It is who is the most aggressive. Not a reality I like, but it is reality.

Two separate legal processes, the indictment for impeachment is not the same as an indictment for a crime in court. In theory you could even serve as president from a jail cell.

Read your US Constitution!

But technically response 4 is correct. He could be indicted, but even if convicted would not remove him from office.

11. No. Because he hasn't committed treason as defined in the Constitution.

He probably has committed any number of other crimes. But there's a reason that treason is virtually never prosecuted, why it wasn't used against the Rosenbergs, against Aldrich Ames or Robert Hanssen, against Edward Snowden. It applies in only the narrowest of circumstances. And those circumstances don't exist here.

Any crime would do, it would seal tRumps fate as being elected unfairly. Obama knew this before the election, he should have charged him then, it would have guaranteed Hilary the Presidency.
Now it would cripple any chance tRump would have for a successful go at it. It would put his transition into chaos and likely stop all his cabinet appointments not to mention any republican legislation from going forward.
I know it sounds drastic but Obama really needs to step up to the plate now. Remember he has sworn to protect our country from all enemies foreign and domestic, if tRumps stealing the Presidency from the Clintons with help of a foreign power and enemies in and out of our OWN government doesn't apply to his sworn oath to protect our nation I don't know what does.
These are drastically dangerous times, our President must take drastic actions.

And you cannot tell me there isn't evidence of tRump committing a felony anywhere to be found.
This is serious, our country is at stake, literally. tRump must be stopped and it's up to Obama to do it.

They fucked up royally and need to be punished for this. No amount of sanctions you can issue are good enough.
