just like they seem to be trying to do with every single American cultural and political norm. Who is going to stop them? They will figuratively (or perhaps literally) shit all over everything.

The furnishings in the main rooms belong to and stay with the White House. Those in the residential rooms are usually brought with and leave with the family.

Read an article about it when Jackie Kennedy remodeled the House. Previous First Families would strip the place. So she got a bunch of stuff donated, and they passed a law to prevent any future problems.
